QP3 by Quotes Plus offers daily data for all issues that trade on the NYSE, Amex and NASDAQ exchanges, and mutual funds and commodities. You also get Stock Picker Pro software, a stock filtering and ranking system. You can export the data in ASCII text format for use in Price Action Lab. Note: if you are using Tradestation, Wealth-Lab or other platforms that offer access to  a historical database, then you can run a script to generate data files for use with Price Action Lab. -Pinnacle data (www.pinnacledata.com ) may be used by futures traders to convert automatically to PAL format after daily updates. This is a very clean data service with many options and the files are automatically updated in PAL format as soon as one figures out the program.

-eSignal or Qcharts users can use a nice utility from Tradeworks (www.mechtrading.com) called Qcollector to download and update directly in PAL format

-Tradestation and Metastock users may use their data downloader to convert to ASCII format and then the utility provided by PAL to convert to the format required but this is a two-step process. There are programs available to convert Metastock and Tradestation data automatically to any text format. - Forex data: A very good (and reasonably priced) source of daily and intraday data for Forex is: http://disktrading.is99.com/disktrading/ You may specify the format you want your files but you must tell them in advance. Look for the correct format in the help file of the demo. For intraday data, you will have to use the Intraday File Creation option from Tools. Most of our FOREX trading customers find the patterns and then implement strategies in Metastock or Tradestation to run in real-time.
