Market Recap and Comments (April 4 – April 8, 2022)

Stocks (SPY) fell 1.2%. Commodities (DBC) gained 1.9%. Gold (GLD) was up 1.1%. Bonds (TLT) plunged 5.5%. Year-to-date, DBC is up 28.6% and GLD is up 6.1%. TLT is down the most, with a loss of 15.2%.

The six strategies’ average weekly change was nearly 0%. The strategies’ average year-to-date return is 1.2%, while the S&P 500 index is down 5.8%. The average return of strategies excluding long/short is -1.5%. The 60/40 portfolio (SPY/TLT) is down 9.4% year-to-date.
