Stock Market Bottom Analysis with Two Quantitative Indicators [Premium Articles]

We analyze recent stock market price action with two quantitative indicators in an effort to determine whether a bottom is already in place.

Usually a market bottom is evident to all market participants in hindsight. Those who are able to identify bottoming action may benefit more than those who wait until everything is clear. Especially long call and short put option positions realize high returns from proper timing. But timing is always hard and involves risks.

Here we use two quantitative indicators we have developed to analyze recent price action with the goal of determining whether the bottom is now in place.
